Summer Exhibition, 27th July - 31st August

Join us this summer for our very first inter-city exhibition, which sees some of the most exciting names in contemporary British art converge in a one-of-a-kind group show at MRS JONES Art Shop & Gallery in Coleham, Shrewsbury.

In this exceptional line-up is a dynamic collection of artists from across Shropshire and the UK, including several established names in the world of British contemporary art, notably Birmingham’s TEMPER, widely recognised as one of the most successful and talented graffiti artists of his generation and Manchester’s Liam Spencer, once quoted by artist Bridget Riley as belonging to ‘that rarest of all traditions – the tradition of good painting’.

The exhibition is intended to be a celebration of the 'extraordinary in the ordinary', a painted curation of ephemera and places that are often unseen or go unnoticed. From the beautiful 'ordinariness' of suburban life to the fantastical complexities of utopia, this exhibition invites us to explore the time and place in which we exist.

The exhibition will run throughout the summer from Saturday 27th July to 31st August and is featured as part of Shrewsbury Arts Trail, 2024.
